Slam Dancing?
July 17, 2007 – 10:25 pmSo, there’s a possibility that I might be on the local news tonight. On my way into Trader Joe’s a guy from one of the local stations asked me if I’d like to provide my perspective on a pressing local issue. That issue… Slam Dancing… Now, I really didn’t have any idea what this was, but it was explained. Apparently it just moshing at a rock show. The Chico City Council is supposedly going to consider a local ordinance to ban the horrors of slam dancing. My outlook on this, is that if you’re willingly participating in a mosh, then what’s the problem? It’s not like I’m going to bust into Councilman Steve Bertagna’s living room and mosh my elbow into the side of his face.. [It should be said that I have no idea if he supports this or not. Just making a point]. If something like this actually passes, does that mean every live music event in Chico gets its own detailed Police officer to supervise the ongoings? I think we have more pressing issues to discus.

You don’t usually see too many crazy mosh pits at hip-hop shows. But there might be some slammyness at the Queens of the Stone Age show next week. My focus will probably be on the music and not a broken jaw though.
I have a decent number of japan trip pictures to sort through. ~1200 pictures / 2GB…. I only took around 20 myself. So many people had cameras that I decided to abandon mine (broken LCD and all).

On a quest to find some I went to Ted’s page and saw a picture of you in an amazing hat. Are you still wearing it in Chico?
