I know it’s about 2 months away, but this is the best news all week.

So, there’s a possibility that I might be on the local news tonight. On my way into Trader Joe’s a guy from one of the local stations asked me if I’d like to provide my perspective on a pressing local issue. That issue… Slam Dancing… Now, I really didn’t have any idea what this was, but it was explained. Apparently it just moshing at a rock show. The Chico City Council is supposedly going to consider a local ordinance to ban the horrors of slam dancing. My outlook on this, is that if you’re willingly participating in a mosh, then what’s the problem? It’s not like I’m going to bust into Councilman Steve Bertagna’s living room and mosh my elbow into the side of his face.. [It should be said that I have no idea if he supports this or not. Just making a point]. If something like this actually passes, does that mean every live music event in Chico gets its own detailed Police officer to supervise the ongoings? I think we have more pressing issues to discus.
There is just something wrong about getting sick in the summertime. Colds and Sinus Infections seem like they should be confined to winter months. These conditions and 100+ degree temperatures just don’t mesh. Plus, for the last 5 days I’ve been waking up feeling really high. And that’s without meds.
I call on the power of greyskul to get better.
Well, I’m totally jet lagged to shit, and it feels as if I’m hung over without the headaches or any urges to vomit. Oh International Travel, why have you done this to me. The worst part is that I still have ~6 hour of work left. I just might have to sneak away later and catch 10 or 15 minutes of the fireworks show.
I made it home from Japan intact. They did indeed let me into the country, and the USA was kind enough to even let me come back. Amazing. Right now I feel kinda high, but I know it’s from lack of sleep. Need sleep (read: nap). And then a Burrito. Somebody needs to invent an IV drip for burritos so I can just absorb it whilst I sleep. Bah!
